At the Shipwrights Co-op, we take pride in our craftsmanship, high-quality
workmanship, and attention to detail. But just as important is our commitment
to outstanding customer service. We treat every client with respect, professional
courtesy, and honesty.
When you hire the Co-op, you’re directly hiring the owners of the
business. Every project at the Co-op is managed by one of our owners, who
will also be working on the job, preparing the billing, and keeping you
updated with daily or weekly progress reports. The same project manager
will be involved throughout the whole project, providing continuity and
keeping the lines of communication clear, easy, and direct.
Besides being experienced shipwrights, all of us at
the Co-op have owned and worked on our own boats, and continue to sail
and fish whenever we get the chance. So we understand our client’s
needs. We also appreciate the necessity of staying within a budget. Every
project starts with a clear, good-faith estimate and, as the project progresses,
frequent updates are provided, preventing any surprises when the project
is finished.
But beyond the nuts and bolts of the project work itself, we want our clients
to feel like they’re an important part of the Co-op “family.” We
provide each new customer with our welcome packet of local maps and sightseeing
information, a key to the washroom, and a list of good restaurants to check
out. We’ll even show you the best places to go for coffee or a good
